Old Royal Naval College

The Old Royal Naval College is the architectural centrepiece of the Maritime Greenwich World Heritage Site, located on the Thames riverside in South East London. Commissioned by Queen Mary II and designed by Sir Christopher Wren, the buildings you see today were originally built as a Royal Hospital for injured or retired seamen.

Our iconic riverside grounds feature over 500 years of history and are now a vibrant cultural destination, where stories of art, architecture and royalty come together.
